AZUD RW plants use two types of disinfection technologies: ozone and ultraviolet.
- Ozone (O3): gaseous compound generated by passing a high concentration of oxygen by an electric spark, which conveniently mixed with water, causes the oxidation of any microorganisms.
- Ultraviolet: wave radiation generated by a mercury vapor lamp, which can cause cell destruction and inactivation of pathogenic microorganism. |
