The filtering element is composed of the support structure and the stack of discs; it also incorporates specific and essential elements that intervene in the filtration and backflushing process.

Piston:
During the filtration process is in charge of keeping compressed the stack of discs. In the backflushing process, the inversion of the flow allows the decompression of such stack of discs, increasing the efficiency of the cleaning with the water proceeding from the feeding bars.

The feeding bars:
They allow the union between the base and the piston and shape the housing of the stack of disc at the same time they contribute actively to the backflushing process. All of them incorporate longitudinally a series of nozzles with geometry, size and helical disposition adequate to project the water on the discs once they are released of the pressure of the piston and erase the solids retained during the filtration process.
